Testimonials

“Every so often in Sports Science we see a breakthrough that can give us, as coaches and players, an edge up on the competition. I am impressed with The Institute for Sports Science for Tennis. Their vision training programs, and applications in anticipation, reaction, and movement timing; assist in developing the ability to see what is important, and to see it early, and how to use it. This could be one of these breakthroughs.” Dr. David T. Porter, USPTA Master Professional, Professor and Head Tennis Coach, Brigham Young University Hawaii.

SERVICE TESTIMONIALS

"Hi Dr. Melissa,

I just saw your website for the first time, very interesting and informative. [We hit at West Winds Tennis and Fitness Center in Maryland] and I read your .pdf on eye tracking. I tried to use what you wrote in that article as I practiced and worked on my game. I plan to get back to playing again soon, but I had to learn to walk again after emergency surgery. ...my physical rehab went very well because of what I learned as a tennis player about balance and intelligent effort and since I hit with you once, Thank You.

Regards,

Harry Lister" Senior Player, U.S.

"Thank you for conducting such an interesting and useful training clinic. I have already recommended you to others – and will continue to do so." Mr. Tom Berray USTA 3.5 player.

"Nick and I thoroughly enjoyed the Sports Science Day clinic on Saturday. You introduced us to a number of interesting concepts and techniques and we are both confident we will improve our games through practicing a systematic implementation of your techniques. Melissa, also thank you for staying afterwards to let us experience the EmWave device to help us visualize how to release and reset after each point." Mr. Tom Berray USTA 3.5 player.

"Thanks for a terrific session Saturday ((Anticipate like a Pro. Workshop) at Sea Colony Resort. I learned lots and truly enjoyed myself. Can't wait to view your video with my husband - a family FUN night. I love the sport psychology aspect of your work." Ms. Cheryl Haye, USTA 3.0 player.

"Scientific research and application like this is extremely helpful to upcoming players in "fast tracking" their development as more effective and successful competitors." Mr. Ted Meyer, 25 years of tennis coaching experience, USPTA1 certified professional, past president of the USPTA Mid-Atlantic region, regional tester for the USPTA.

Recently Dr. Melissa Hunfalvay conducted a mental toughness and anticipation workshop (Anticipate like a Pro. Workshop) at Sea Colony Resort. Her information and drills on anticipation and mental toughness immediately improved our students’ level of play. When we on court players of all levels commented how their returns were better and they were now able to “see” the ball from toss to contact point. As a bonus I learned some new drills and now feel that I am better equipped to teach the neglected skill of anticipation. Mr. Thomas Johnston, Sea Colony Resort
